
Mike Klucker
Mike Klucker is a cellist and educator located in Northern Virginia. He is currently the orchestra director at Luther Jackson Middle School where all levels of his orchestras regularly receive superior and excellent ratings at state assessment.
Mike holds a Bachelor's in music education and a Performer's Recognition Award for his abilities on cello. He also holds a Master's in Music degree from George Mason University. He studied with Kim Cook and Dr. Ai-Lin Hsieh. He participated in masterclasses with Alan Harris, David Finckel, Alisa Weilerstein, Ralph Kirshbaum, and Erin Ellis. In Northern Virginia, Mike is a frequent freelance cellist, often playing with the Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic. Mike has also appeared with the Pennsylvania Chamber Orchestra, Nittany Valley Symphony, and Blue Lake Chamber Orchestra.
Mike has a diverse cello studio with students aged seven to adults, all of whom find success on their instrument. His students can be seen as principal cellist of their district or region orchestra, receiving superior ratings at solo ensemble, or performing concerto with orchestra.
In his free time, Mike can be found running, reading a good book, or planning his next hiking adventure.
