Group Classes
Performing Group Ensembles are the culmination of music instruction at Potomac Music, beginning with Kindermusik, through Piano Express and private lessons. Group classes are for experienced students who will elevate their playing, and their ensemble, through collaborative performance. Beginner youth ukulele classes are coming Fall, 2025!

Symphonic Strings
Grab your bow and join a group in this mixed ensemble for developing players!
Open to violin, viola, cello, and upright bass players. At least one year of playing experience on performing instrument. Ability to fluently read melodic and rhythmic notation required. Students will perform during Potomac Music recitals at the end of the term.
Class meets Wednesdays at 5:45PM

Rock Band Class
Teen Rock Back Class Just Added - Mondays at 5:30PM!
Join a band and get ready to rock! Players are grouped into bands and will develop creative and focused listening skills. Original songs are encouraged to be developed, in addition to learning covers. Students will perform during Potomac Music recitals at the end of the term.
At least six months of experience on performing instrument is required.
Teen Rock Band
Mondays at 5:30PM: Ages 13-16
Youth Rock Band
Mondays at 6:30PM: Ages 8-12
Mondays at 7:30PM: Ages 8-12
Violin Foundations
Your aspiring violinist will love this introductory violin class for ages 4-6! Learn basic technique including arco and pizzicato, melodic and rhythmic dictation, music theory, aural development, ensemble skills, and more! Class begins this Fall, but spots are limited. Enroll Today!
Fall Term Begins September 1st, 2026
Adult Ukulele Class
For adult students. Grab a uke and learn to play chords, melodies, and songs! This small group class will develop listening, rhythmic, reading, and ensemble skills in a fun and encouraging environment with other adults.
