What is Kindermusik?
Kindermusik is the world’s leading music-and-movement program for children from birth to age seven, designed to foster whole-child development through play-based learning. All classes involve music, dance, instrument play, and stories to promote cognitive, physical, and social-emotional growth while strengthening parent-child bonds.

Potomac Music is minutes from I-95 located at the Workhouse Arts Center in Building 11 in Lorton, VA. We host parties in our spacious, mirrored wall Kindermusik room OR on-site at the venue of your choice. Think your home, backyard, park pavilion, or country club. We are happy to travel for your celebration within the Northern Virginia area.
What to expect during your Kindermusik Birthday Celebration?
Whether you are celebrating in our Kindermusik Room at Potomac Music or at your own venue of choice; a trained Kindermusik teacher will lead an age appropriate, all-encompassing 45-minute music class that includes movement, singing, instrument exploration, storytelling, and imaginative play.
We provide all props, visuals, instruments, and audio equipment needed. We also want to spread the love of music beyond the party so each of your guests will receive an instrument or movement prop of your choice.
We will arrive 15 minutes before your party start time to set up and clean up upon the end of our 45-minute class.
Our parties are best for ages 1-7 years and are suitable for a mixed ages guest list. If children are younger than 3 years old, we ask that their grown-up stays with them. If they are 3 years or older and can be unsupervised, their grown-up doesn’t need to be as involved per se.
